Happy Spring! As we come out of hibernation, the days are getting longer and the sun is shining brighter. Ayurveda recommends that it's best to wake up before sunrise, when there is natural movement in the atmosphere.

This Spring marks one full year that Sunrise Yoga has been offered at the studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7am with Tiffany. If you’ve attended one of these classes, it’s likely you’ve met Beth and Ed! Their dedication to Sunrise Yoga has been inspiring! We decided to ask them, what are the top 5 reasons you commit to Sunrise Yoga?

The most obvious reason is that it's what fits into our busy schedule.
We love how we feel after yoga! On the days we practice yoga, we are so much more energized, focused, ready to take on the day. We wish it was offered more often early in the day!
The teacher, Tiffany - her personality, knowledge, and how she challenges us. Overall we just love her and everything she brings to the class.
The atmosphere. It's dark when we begin - peaceful and quiet. Then as the class progresses and the sun comes up you just feel like your whole being awakens. Tiffany's music choices are perfect for the overall feeling of the class as well.
We're of the age and were limited enough in our physical activity (we both work very sedentary jobs) at first that the stretching and slow movements were perfectly suited to us. However, it's amazing to us how much of a workout you still get! After 9 months of regular Sunrise Yoga, we’re both in much better shape - especially where it counts in our core. We now intend to continue taking yoga for the rest of our lives!
