Last weekend I packed up my 10 month old son (how do these little humans have so much stuff?) and journeyed to Texas for a "Girls Weekend" (contrary to the baby part) with my 3 best friends of 20+ years.
While traveling alone with a baby, it seemed as if the universe lined up all the kindest people in the world along the way. Thank you to the kind airline person who checked my bag for free (because I just didn't have enough hands). Thank you to the kind family who offered compassion by saying "We've been there, just enjoy it!". Thank you to the kind person who lifted my stroller for me. Thank you to the kind soul sitting next to us who made us laugh and played countless rounds of peek-a-boo. Thank you to the kind flight attendant who held my little human so I could gather my belongings that were scattered like a game of 52 pick-up. Thank you to the kind person who offered (and I gratefully accepted) to snap my carrier while I lugged my 20lb. wiggle worm. Thank you to the kind person who humored my little human rather than taking that nap you had clearly planned (neck pillow, sleep mask and all!). And lastly, thank you to my kind husband for all the little extra things you do to make life easier.
Kind people...I see you. I feel you. I hear you. Thank you! I will keep the gravy train (aka Karma) moving. I will throw kindness around like confetti.
