Join Alicia for Peaceful Kids Yoga! This is offered as a 6 week series or drop-in (see dates below). Yoga for kids is a balance between spontaneity and structure, kids will move their body, explore their breath, and express themselves creatively. This class incorporates physical movement, activity and a mindful craft allowing children to learn in a multi-sensory environment which explores kinaesthetic (movement), visual, oral, inter-and intra-personal learning.
Kids will benefit by practicing in a welcoming environment, developing and building strength, coordination, flexibility and balance. In addition to the physical benefits, yoga brings calmness and peace of mind allowing children to become more aware of their bodies, achieve better focus and concentration; or in yoga terms, creating mindfulness.
