Calm and uplift your mind with Tiffany for this 2 hour Hatha-Raja Yoga Workshop! Hatha-Raja is a gentle movement meditation that can be enjoyed by everyone. All levels of mobility and first-time yogis are welcome!
In this workshop we will focus on poses that bring you a sense of calm, focus, and wellbeing. Slow and mindful movements will be linked with vibrational sound of Brahmaree Pranayama (honey-bee breath), creating a multi-sensory experience. Performing Brahmaree during postures helps to lengthen the breath and releases stress at a cellular level. The postures chosen influence the pineal and pituitary glands of the brain, which balances the hormonal system and calms and uplifts the mind, bringing you more easily into meditation.
This practice helps to regulate serotonin, melatonin, blood pressure, and many glands in the body- most prominently the thyroid, parathyroid, pineal, and pituitary. Hatha-Raja Yoga increases lung capacity, elevating overall health. This type of yoga can help to relieve headaches, improve sleep, and release repressed emotions.
