Summer Solstice Cacao Journey with Melanie Jay

6:00 PM18:00

Summer Solstice Cacao Journey with Melanie Jay

Welcome in Summer with an open heart and receive the loving, nurturing support of Mama Cacao (ceremonial Cacao)!

Ceremonial Cacao is considered to be a very sacred ‘heart opening’ plant medicine that has been used by the Mayans and other indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica for thousands of years. It’s specifically used to help with matters of the heart, resolving inner &/or outer conflict.

This beautiful medicinal plant possesses ancient wisdom that can support you on all levels: physical, emotional and spiritual. In addition, it's high in antioxidants (flavonoids), magnesium, copper, selenium, theobromine, anandamide, amino acids and it contains mood-boosting properties which stimulate the production of endorphins such as dopamine and serotonin (your happy hormones!) and more…

We’ll gather together and set our intentions before we begin to drink cacao, followed by a guided Drum Journey meditation.
We’ll finish with some reflection/sharing (optional), and gratitude.

Date: June 20th
Time: 6:00-8:30PM
$35/person

WHAT TO BRING
- Your own mug for Cacao
- Anything to make yourself comfortable on the floor: mat, blankets, pillow. (blankets & bolsters available at the studio)
- Filled Water bottle
- Eye mask (recommended)
- Journal & writing instrument (optional)
- A stone or crystal, anything you’d like to charge (optional)
- Open hearted curiosity

PLEASE READ IN PREPARATION FOR CACAO!!!

It’s my honor to help you gain the most out of your experience. I share this so that you can enjoy the best inward experience possible. Of course, it’s up to you…

PLEASE FAST 4 HOURS PRIOR, IT ALLOWS FOR THE GREATEST CONNECTION WITH THIS PLANT MEDICINE. That means begin fasting at 2-2:30PM

For blood sugar issues, please eat a small healthy snack. No Dairy!

Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate!
Drink plenty of water, coconut water/electrolytes throughout the day, leading up to this gathering. After you drink cacao, please wait an hour if you can, to drink water again.

- wear comfortable clothing that covers (layers are a good option)

WHAT TO AVOID PRE-GATHERING

- avoid caffeine intake for six (6) hours before (or longer) as it may be over stimulating and effect connection to the cacao

- avoid mind-altering substance as of now: alcohol, marijuana, psychedelics as they can be over-stimulating or effect connection to cacao (each plant has its own Spirit & Consciousness)

- avoid Dairy Products the day of as they slow down absorption and counteract the antioxidant properties in cacao

WHAT TO CONSIDER POST-GATHERING

- drink lots of water and electrolytes (coconut water is great)

- do not keep fasting afterwards as it can result in headaches and nausea.

- day after, a breakfast of whole grounding food (vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, fresh /dried fruit)

WHAT TO AVOID POST-CEREMONY

- avoid alcohol, mind-altering drugs and dairy after ceremony and into next day

- “hot” showers

Ceremonial cacao has psychoactive properties (Not psychedelic). It's a gentle, subtle, loving energy that can work with us on a deep level if we're open to it. This is a simple introduction. All that’s required is an open heart and relax …

Restorative Yoga & Reflexology with Marie & Anna

6:00 PM18:00

Restorative Yoga & Reflexology with Marie & Anna

Put down what you’re carrying and kick up your feet to relax with Marie and Anna! Together, Marie and Anna, love to cultivate an experience that feels deeply nurturing.

Marie will walk you thru a calming, relaxing restorative class, while Anna will offer reflexology.

Many of us find ourselves on our feet or with our feet in restricting shoes all day or using repetitive movement with the hands and stress can manifest in the feet and hands.

Reflexology is a unique bodywork practice that involves applying different amounts of pressure to prescribed reflex points of various body parts such as hands, feet, or ears. This treatment is based on a conception that these areas of reflex points, especially the ones that are on the foot, are associated with certain other body structures and is well known for evoking a self-healing response and also for accelerating the functionality of the nervous system. Reflexology retains a balance in the energy flow throughout the body by applying pressure on the reflex points and is hence, known to be a pressure-point massage and not just a foot massage. The benefits of reflexology include its ability to stimulate nerve function, increase energy, stimulate circulation, induce a deep state of relaxation, eliminate toxins, stimulate the central nervous system and more.

Full Moon & Meditation Circle with Melanie Jay

6:00 PM18:00

Full Moon & Meditation Circle with Melanie Jay

Joining together in a Full Moon Circle is a way of grounding, centering and receiving higher wisdom. A moon circle is an intentional gathering. The moon reflects our own life path - as we move through different stages and rhythms, so does the moon. The moon quietly influences our daily existence. - it dictates the tides, impacts animal behavior and in astrology the moon rules our emotional state associated with divine feminine energy. Taking the time to connect with the sacred elements that exist within you can be a profound experience. The full moon casts light, illuminating and revealing those areas of your life that might otherwise go unexamined.

Join Melanie as she guides you through a 20min coherent breathing technique to calm the mind and enhance relaxation. Followed by a guided meditation to ground in presence, an invitation to surrender to your Divine Healing Light. Harness the energy of the full moon to release what no longer serves you. Melanie will offer the experience of hands-"on" or "off", gentle healing touch, that deepens your relaxation by releasing any blocked or stuck energy in the body.  She may offer the option of stones &/or crystals to be placed on your body during meditation to promote deep rest & emotional release. An intuitive selection of music will be been chosen to accompany the meditation journey.

This circle is created as a safe and sacred container for your experience. Healing Touch (hands on or off) will be offered for those that would like to receive it. You may also opt out of any or all energetic aides to your level of comfort. They are not necessary in-order to receive the benefits from this meditation.

Afterwards, we'll close with some time to share your experience (if you'd like).

When we come together as one, in a group, with the same or similar intention, this can amplify the experience for everyone and promote overall mind, body, & spiritual well-being.

Date: May 16 at 6-8:30pm
Total Duration: 2&1/2 hrs. (Total Length of meditation is approx. 70-90min. )

Exchange: $35

Date: March 16 at 4-6:30pm
Total Duration: 2&1/2 hrs. (Total Length of meditation is approx. 70-90min. )

Exchange: $35

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Mat (yoga or other) for laying down Or folding chair or zero gravity chair. Whatever is most comfortable for you.
