Join Alicia for Peaceful Kids Yoga! This is a free class that serves as a preview for the series of offerings through January-February (see dates below). Yoga for kids is a balance between spontaneity and structure, kids will move their body, explore their breath, and express themselves creatively. This class incorporates physical movement, activity and a mindful craft allowing children to learn in a multi-sensory environment which explores kinesthetic (movement), visual, oral, inter-and intra-personal learning.
Kids will gain a greater sense of body awareness, develop healthy breathing patterns, and will have the opportunity to relish in the joy of their own creativity, flexibility and ability to form friendships. This class is a combination of lively, flowing sequences, fun balancing postures, games, storytelling, theme activities, music, art and creative relaxation techniques. This class also helps kids explore ways to calm the mind with visualization and breath work. Yoga for kids is a fun way to develop important skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. This nurtures inner strength and self-acceptance.
